Election Night 2012

Brandon and I had an amazing, spontaneous date night/Brandon hanging out with me and my friends (jk babe) to Rockefeller Center, transformed into.....

It was pretty exciting to be here where they were reporting. It was a very unique experience, and in general, being away from my uber-Red home-state during an election has been enlightening and has set a great standard for political tolerance. I think being an Independent voter this election worked to my advantage, because I was able to learn a lot and listen to the debates with a very open mind. Being LDS, added even more significance being that the spotlight has really been on our church and our members. Brandon had a missionary experience that really put into perspective for me just how much people were paying attention (remember that all you angry face bookers, there are better ways to present your points).

Here is a sampling of the scene here in New York.

I loved seeing all the red, white, and blue all over the city. I feel so happy to be an American and to be a New Yorker this election! I was very impressed with the city's patriotism and the sense of friendly camaraderie.
