We were happy for the chance to get out of the city and visit the closest thing to a "farm" that New York can offer. Through this Play Area Association membership we have, we got a free ride that made this trip only 20 minutes where it would have been an hour and a half. We jumped on the chance, especially being the Saturday before Hurricane Sandy was scheduled to hit New York.

This was probably the high light for us, LEAVES, LEAVE, and more LEAVES! |
|
Tori was most interested in the cows, which were kind of trying to spear her with their horns through the gate. No joke, it was interesting. |

A hayride on an actual dirt road. Haven't seen one of those for a while. |

Nervous smiles. "Why are we bumping around on this dirty road, when we could take a cab, Mom?" |
Their petting zoo was pretty ridiculous! We were definitely overcharged, which wasn't necessarily the shocker, but the surprising part was the lay out. It led me to believe we had maybe a half an acre of animals to interact with and feed, but it was in fact, this very small, fenced in area with 5 or so bins.

She wants a bunny super bad now! |

We've missed feeding the goats at the Boise Zoo, so this was a nice flashback. |

Yeah, turtles, I thought it was random too. |
Fun day, but I would never have gone on mass transit. The free and shorter ride made it more worthwhile. So, yeah it was okay.
