Falling

Seems like an appropriate day to blog, especially this entry, since Hurricane Sandy will have blown away all the foliage by tomorrow. The city is perfectly charming in the fall. Leaves I get to enjoy and not clean up, old brick buildings that serve as stark contrast to the fall colors, bundling up in all our cozy fall attire for walks in the park...I don't know, doesn't seem like you can go wrong! Let's just say, it's definitely my cup of cider! For your viewing pleasure, fall in our neighborhood.

Something about corner markets and pumpkins seems more like Halloween to me than traditional pumpkin patches. I can't put my finger on it, but I love the sense of nostalgia every time I walk by one.
While there aren't as many decorated pads here, it almost makes it more fun to stumble upon a Halloween enthusiast's creation. We stopped for a while at this place because Tori wanted to point out every thing she could see.
Central Park...always enchanting.

Oh my heavens THAT is what I call fall. Fall here is pathetic, it doesn't really hit until after Halloween and then it is pretty Drab. Fall is my favorite season and as long as we live here I'm being deprived of it. How are you guys holding up? I've been thinking about you all day. I doubt that you have power, but when it comes back on, I want you to know you have all been in our prayers and thoughts.
