In light of our latest plans to move across the country, we figured Tori deserved TWO birthday parties to go along with Central Park, her first airplane ride, and stroller rides everyday. Hey, she's pretty much leaving all her toys here, back off : ) So, without further adieu, let us commence the festivities.
We actually did one birthday party on St. Patrick's Day, because Daddy was leaving before her birthday, but it went against my grain to not do ANYTHING on her actual birthday. We decided to have a little tea party with all her favorite finger foods: cucumbers, strawberrys, gold fish, sammies, spring sausage, cheese, and crackers. My mom has this great silver tea set that we were able to use, and our cousins Andrew and Nic were troopers and dressed up as Tori's prince charmings. She LOVED it!Even the grown ups dressed up! Tori referred to me as "Your Majesty" the whole morning. I promise I didn't set that one up, but it made me laugh. She picked out her eye make up and hairstyle for the day. She actually wanted braids, but "Her Majesty" the Queen kindly encouraged her toward curls and a high pony tail.
Uncle Ben was our waiter, and kindly saw to all Princess Tori's needs! Such a good sport.
On our St. Patty's Day celebration, I had found these light up balloons at Walmart, and although they weren't exactly "floating lights," they were pretty cool and cheaper than actual floating lights. FYI: helium does not work with these, but with a little wind and imagination, you can still feel like Tangled. Tori requested an all pink birthday and hand picked her Birthday cake candle. They had a really cute hot pink Hello Kitty, but Tori was insistent on the Tweety candle.
And here's just a little preview of the all pink decor. Thank you pinterest for the tulle garland and yarn chandelier ideas. They were loverly!
