I really didn't know where to start in finally blogging about this trek east. I had big plans of starting up a new public site featuring the ins and outs of moving to New York, but it became evident very quickly that at least for NOW, the regular upkeep of a blog is not going to happen. So, our adventures will be coming in series. The next best place to start, it seemed natural that it be with Tori.
Our move from Boise to Salmon was actually pretty rough, and maybe because so much change happened in a matter of like...8 days. She showed some more obvious signs of regression in Salmon, a place that she's very familiar with, so naturally, I assumed this move was going to be awful on her. To my pleasant surprise, Tori walked into our "apartment" ie. glorified dorm room and chipperly unpacked her toys on her new book shelf and made her bed with her little blankies (which she is still using as bedding since we have yet to get her a comforter). It was so precious, and she's settled in amazingly here. Anyone that knows me or her, would agree with me when I say, sigh, she's been the high maintenance child, but it would seem that she's found her place in life. She's my little New York superstar. Don't worry, Brighton's taken on Tori's insecurities as well as his own, so I still have my hands full.
Shopping: Tori has blossomed into a full on awesome shopper, no joke! She REALLY gets into it, and seems to know specifically what she likes and is looking for.

Tori shopping at UO. This purse was only $42...she was a good sport about putting it back. |

Grocery shopping. She had a cart full (these employees love us : ), and the fun part was watching her contemplate over each selection, which all got put back. |
Friends: Thankfully, Tori still has stranger danger, which I love, but she's come out of her shell really well with people that are alright with Mom and Dad. Her favorite friend (and everyone else's) is our next door neighbor Paul, as featured in the middle down below. Pretty sure Tori has her first crush. Hey, I had my first crush at age 3, a red head kid named Brandon, what are the odds? Paul's a catch though, so I'd be pretty pleased. I've never seen this girl giggle and blush so much.
