Summer Streets

They have a great tradition here in the summer where they close down Park Avenue for bikers and runners, and then line certain parts of street with various events like bike rentals, repairs, jump roping shows, etc. I honestly didn't think it sounded that great, but as always, to my surprise, it was, in fact great! I think you would have to experience the traffic and shuffle of walking down crowded side walks with a stroller to really appreciate it, but anyone can appreciate a carless street in a big city...am I right?

Tori wasn't nearly as excited about this giant couch as I was.  Brighton at least shared my enthusiasm!
Tori took this picture. She is very into photography, which I imagine is pretty normal for this age, but she gets pretty particular and excited about posing her subjects. She told me, "Now go over there with Dad and say cheese." I'm going to compile all her photos into a book for her to remember New York from her point of view.

Another Saturday well spent. We finished it up at Shake Shack, one of our favorite (if not our favorite) place to eat, and then a little secondhand shopping. A new way to experience New York.
