I have been avoiding this like crazy, especially being 3 weeks out from having a newborn, but Tori became so uptight about the smallest amount of pee in her diaper that we were going through diapers like Hostess Chocolate cupcakes (and I'm sure she'll appreciate that her mom blogged about all this). The reality was I probably had more energy to potty train than I did money to pay for multiple packs of diapers per week, so here we are on day 3.

After doing the 20 minute potty time to the 30 minute potty time, we graduated today to every 40 minutes and we relocated to the big potty. She's been a champ and handled it all WAY better than I expected.

Everytime she goes she gets a sticker and a prize until we run out of those haha. After she fills her chart up with stickers we are going to take her to do whatever she wants....swimming, zoo, buy a new toy, etc.

Today she finally picked out the make up surprise, which I was shocked she didn't go for right away. I thought she looked pretty cute working so hard on it with her little mirror.
I tried to pick out fun activity type prizes so it's actually been an entertaining couple of days. We've done a lot of painting and puzzles and reading and crafting. Today I've been trying to ease things back into normalcy, ie focusing on other things besides just potty times like timeouts, leaving the house again, and regular eating schedules. I've just been so pleasently surprised at how well she has done.
We had a super fun ward party last night at the Natatorium downtown, and even with a swim diaper on she told me when she had to go! I think as a mom you'll never get used to how incredibly unique and intelligent children can be. I am one proud Mama Bear!
