The High Line and Chelsea Market

Today, by means of a great friend and fortunate desperation, we embarked on one of my more favorite outings thus far, to the High Line and Chelsea Market. I need to find out more stats on the things we visit but what I know about the High Line is it used to be an elevated railway that recently, like in the last year or two, was transformed into this beautiful park, as featured below. Throughout the walk you could spot parts of the original train tracks that now serve as the foundation to this whole production. Really my attempts to explain and even my pictures cannot do enough justice to it's very innovative and unique design.
There's a ton more to it, but this is one stretch of the High Line.
Tori and Paul helped themselves to the grass so they could have tickle fights...and later they ate sugarplums!
Checking out views of Chelsea from above.

A nice grassy null we decided to take a break on!
My little butterball taking in the sites.
Here Tori is walking on one of the tracks that lined this particular walkway.
Tori and a view of the Hudson
They had this great water feature that was a constant flowing stream for lack of a better term.  You could get barefoot and walk quite a ways down in the water. Fabulous idea!
We then took our ventures to the Chelsea Market for milkshakes and again, I can't really say enough for the design and overall ambience. Such a great little gem!
Entrance to the market
One hallway. I was trying to muster all I could from my camera's battery so I didn't walk away with quite as good of quality or number of photos that I wanted, because there were certainly much cooler areas of the market.
A waterfall fountain pipe?
I have to note that this was one of our better subway trips and Tori did fairly well walking on her own. When that wore off, she innovated a way to stand/ride on the umbrella stroller with Brighton, which saved us mucho tears. She's pretty fantastic!
