Tori suffers from some sort of social anxiety or something, because she didn't exactly love the idea of all the other kids and has been struggling in nursery, so she spent most the time whimpering and clinging to my leg. I really do try to expose her to stuff, so I'm not sure why she's anti-social, but the party was fun, and she made a little sucker ghost and cut out, so I guess we'll take it slow and hopefully someday she'll enjoy playing with kids.
And like everyone else, we got our pumpkins carved this week. For Tori we decided to let her decorate one with jewel stickers and markers.
Tonight, Brandon and I tried our hands at caramel apples. Brandon is seriously the funnest husband. It was his idea, and I initially thought it sounded stupid because caramel apples never turn out...at least not like Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. However, I stand corrected again, and not only was it fun, but they actually turned out really good.
We got little M&M's and crushed butterfinger to top it off! Quite delicious I have to admit! Credit goes to my awesome hubby! Taking into mind my uncoordination in the kitchen, I tried to cover up my first apple which basicly turned into a caramel apple with a huge growth of M&M's at the bottom. Brandon reassured me that would definitely taste really good.

Of course, the jewels inevitably ended up on her face. What can I say? She takes after her mama....we like our bling! And this is how her Princess Pumpkin turned out...with a little help from me! It might seem like I took over this whole project, which I did, but she did get most of the jewels on herself.
Here's the whole lot of them lit up! Brandon did the two on top, and mine is the skull and cross bones DIMMLY lit at the bottom of the pic!

I am impressed with the caramel apples! I don't think I have ever made them but I LOVE them!!! Tori is so stinking cute but could you tell her to slow down on the growing up part...I'm missing out and it's sad :( I can't wait to see you guys again!
What fun! We didn't even do pumpkins this year...how lame are we.
As for the nursery...have you just dropped her off and left? It's hard and there will be tears, but usually kiddos get over it faster. Once she realizes that you ALWAYS come back she will be fine. Ask your nursery leaders what they perfer. Every time and in every ward I ask first and they have always said, "just drop them off. If they cry too long we will bring him.her to you". Good luck. Happy Halloween!!
