I was excited to share this resolution, because it felt resourceful. I always complain to Brandon about having good books to read, and the Salmon Library is less than desirable. I decided to randomly rearrange my house the other day and while sorting through our book shelf, I realized there are tons of books on it I haven't read...most of them church books or Brandon's hiking books, but who's to say there isn't something for me in each one of those. So my first goal for the year is to read all the books on our book shelf that I haven't read.....and I may just add some of the ones that I have read. I actually started this goal in December, and have half way finished Purity & Passion (but decided to take a break because I was tired of feeling like a bad wife). I am currently trying to finish up The Abolition of Man by C.S. Lewis. So far, I'm confused out of my mind, but if anything I've learned a lot of new words I didn't know (I keep the Dictionary handy to find out all these definitions).
So, hopefully, with the remainder of the year, I'll feature my current read to the right, and would love to discuss them with anyone interested! Hope everyone is having a great new year!!

That is a great resolution! I'm nost so sure about the hiking books, but who knows?? Thanks for the invite, by the way.
Can't say I'm gonna participate in the book reading adventure, but I'll gladly cheer you on! Go jjmac (Oh ya...I just did that!)!
So maybe I must have received an invite ;)
Jennie, Your resolution is similar to one a made about 3 years ago and as a result I've read more good books in that time than I've read up to then since college. I too have bookshelves of books that I haven't read, but I'm working on them now.
Jennie, I'm very interested the Shackleton book. If it's anything like "Endurance," it must be good.
