Dreams

I was told during pregnancy to expect extremely weird and vivid dreams. With that information, I sort of assumed the worst, planning on violent and disturbing dreams for some reason. However, it was worse. Throughtout my pregnancy, I had the same dream....I spent the entire night walking up and down the same isle in a department store and would wake up exhausted. After having Tori, I haven't dreamt much unless it's the walking dream....and maybe because I don't totally sleep through the night, haha! Just in the past few weeks, I've started dreaming again and having the weird dreams I had expected during pregnancy and mostly about animals. So, I decided to look up some dream interpretation sites for fun and found it to be much like reading my horoscope, funny coincedences...or are they?

Crocodile Dream - I dream a lot about crocodiles, and generally the crocodile is just present in the dream. Unfortunately, I was finally attacked by a crocodile in my dream a couple weeks ago.

Meaning: "Seeing a crocodile in the dream is a warning: you are surrounded by evil-minded people. If you got bitten by a crocodile, be careful: a dangerous situation has developed." Most of the interpratations were bad, about people lying to me and giving me bad advice, haha, so time to fess up people.

Shark Attack Dream - I recently had a dream that I was in the water witnessing a shark attack on someone else. TERRIFYING!!

Meaning: "Sharks may be symbols of aggressive people, or they may also be symbolic of one's own feelings of aggression. These feelings may be laying deep within one's psyche and may be the result of feeling helpless over a situation that one is unable to control. These feelings may not be readily identifiable as oftentimes we deny the parts of ourselves that are less than pleasant." Hmmmmm...

Cat Dream - The worst so far! I dreamt I was being attacked by a cat with red eyes. Anytime one of my family members opened my parents garage door, this crazy feline would sink it's yucky little teeth into me!

Meaning: "If the cat attacks you, you will have enemies who will go to any extreme to blacken your reputation and to cause you loss of property." Whaaaaa? So, I'm going to assume this dream was really due to my intense hatred for cats.

The Walking Dream - Yes, the big kahuna, 9 months of searching the same stinking isle all night long.

Meaning: "A dream of walking through a long hallway or corridor can also represent your frustration in trying to escape a repetitive situation." Yeah, pregnancy isn't repetitive in the least. A lot of other interpretations talked about how walking can symbolize moving forward in life and the pace at which we're walking is usually indicative of how we're handling these changes.

Sooooo, after all my research, I think my dreams sort of sum it all up...I'm surrounded by dishonest people and have suppressed aggression over it, but because I'm usually walking pretty lazily in my dreams maybe that means it won't bother me too much, haha!
